Do you know how many people from S. Korea, Japan and from Africa apply for GC? You are making an extremely pre-mature and rash statement which might alienate what's probably the only developed country in the world which is still not hostile to people of color.
If EB3 is moving faster than EB2, then you can figure out why I'm sure. Don't blame the porters, blame the system.

I read the document and here's what I think is the important part:
In a subset of these
case, the FBI name check request that been pending for more than 180 days.
This means that only a part of those 47k applications are pending for more than 180 days. This doesn't say they will approve 47k in March.
Why mid March? Well that's the time of the month when the VB will be published so I'm curious to see how the April VB will look like.

Does this (given below) means DOL has the authority to find something and send Notice of Intenet to Revoke at any point of time during the GC process?
"The DOL Perm rule, at 20 CFR 656.32 provides for the revocation of approved labor certifications by DOL if a subsequent finding is made that the certification was not justified. In such instances, DOL provides notice to the employer in the form of a Notice of Intent to Revoke an approved labor certification that contains a detailed statement of the grounds for the revocation and the time period allowed for the employer's rebuttal. The employer may submit evidence in rebuttal within 30 days of receipt of the notice. If rebuttal evidence is not filed by the employer, the Notice of Intent to Revoke becomes the final decision of the Secretary. If the employer files rebuttal evidence and DOL determines the certification should nonetheless be revoked, the employer may file an appeal under 20 CFR 656.26 within 30 days of the date of the adverse determination. Same here, fraud bodyshop consultants make life miserable for genuine applicants and also give a bad name to the H1B process. It's more like an easy ticket to come to the US as opposed to being qualified for a job. I wonder what people think , that life gets better once you start with fraud??

We guessed you were lying to us when you said you do not sing! You should have joined us... we would have then sung the song that only you and the other singer/guitarist know (besides Digital2k) know. BTW, the guitarist was Dr Saurabh although I don't know his IV handle.
It's the beginning of this weekend, but let me rewind things to the last weekend. I received a call from Paskal while I was walking into "Costco", when he told me about his idea of having me and someone else sing and keep folks entertained before the rally. He connected me to Saurabh, and it felt really nostalgic when Saurabh and I rehearsed the song over the phone... somewhat like how two friends would do it in college.
Then on the day of the rally, we knew we had to rehearse with our guitars, and we also knew we would have to, first of all, tune our guitars to one another. But to our sweet surprise, our guitars were already tuned:) We then went a few feet away from the registration booth, and began practising... but something funny happened.
One of the airfare beneficiaries came to me and said hello. We stopped playing and exchanged hellos, and chatted for 2 minutes, but guided him to Venkygct who had been very kind to take over all the "check disbursement" responsibilities. Another 2 minutes, and we have another beneficiary visiting. This time, Venky sees him and runs to us:)
But, we have only a few minutes to the rally, so we decide to go further away from the booth.... and we go really really far... and then start practising once again.
And then after a few minutes, we see Venky and a beneficiary running to us from 2 different directions, but Venky intercepting the missile before it got us:D
Thanks Venky for everything! You made it all sound easy. Starting from the day you postponed your India trip to make it to the rally, you had started making a positive impact on us.
(Folks, Venky even roped in a handful of his own friends to come to the rally. )
You were the God-sent help Arun and I were really missing! We had been finding it hard tracking down some of the sponsors and beneficiaries whose IV profiles had phony emails and bad phone numbers! But you came and things started moving real smooth.
Not to forget Drona's tremendous efforts in roping in dante, prp79, jiren... and in fact co-ordinating the sponsorship for one of them completely on her own!
Of course, Drona's dream to form the "Let's partner to increase resonance" band remains unfulfilled. So venky, by the next rally, do learn to play the drums:D

Would you mind sharing the process of getting the PPF from your old employer in India? i.e. what kind of forms do I need to request? What kind of documentation is needed etc?
I closed my PPF account twice and never paid a single paisa. The second one I closed when I was in US and got the forms here through my old employer and Signed and send those form back to that employer , they filed it, Don'y know if they attached "NOC" but I got all of my money (close to INR80K) in 2 or 3 weeks at my home address in India.
I guess no one needs to pay money for to PPF in any state all you need tyo do is follow the proper instructions, It's as good as in any bank.

Nag, u r in a bad situation no doubt. But u had every chance to apply for labor via PERM as well (many of my friends did that) just to be on a safer side. So u r partially to be blamed for ur sorry state.

I have been a long time supporter of IV and all the work that IV does, I have been on this forum for close to three years now and have always believed in the cause of IV and have actively taken part in a lot of the efforts that IV has undertaken and have contributed monetarily as well .
Besides the fact that IV can try to help members in extreme situations like the one I am in, IV is really the only organization that watches out for our community, it is all we have. We need to be an active part of it and should make it stronger.

I have also observed all my H1Bs that expired 4 years and two years ago, have got soft LUDs after I used AC21.
In fact the status on my I-485 case stopped changing even when they issued RFE and FP notice. I straightaway received these notices. The status on my case has not changed for last six months, my FP happened 3 months ago. So now I get scared even if there is just LUD on any of my cases as I am not sure what is this about.
Overall AC21 has been a very tense experience for me. Please do not go that way if your original employer is a real bad guy. In my case the original employer was as bad as one could be, the laywer that new employer hired is as insensitive, arrogant and crack-pot as one could be and new employer absolutely careless.
Full one and half year has passed since I changed employer, six months since I submitted my evidence, almost four months since my second FP and I still don't know what is going to happen.
So my advise to all of you, think ten times before embarking on this risky or rather tension packed journey. There is no thrill in it.
