With parameshwara's anugrah, my status changed yesterday(Sep 1st, 2009) to "Card Production Ordered".
End to my long wait and frustration.
I wish and hope others get their card soon.
Thanks to ImmigrationVoice team for their work without them, USCIS wouldn't be so efficient and wouldn't have cared to process the applications in the order of PD. IV is doing lot of things which will help the immigration community and I completely support their activities.

But then most consulting companies will not hire H1B's because it won't be cost effective.
Anyway just by checking most of this consulting firms businesses they will be able to uncover all the fraud.
It's very unethical to make you lie on your resume and then try to market you to an employer with fake experience, also nobody has responded to my comment. Real Companies like PWC, IBM pay you while you're on bench, while this indian consulting companies break the law by not doing that.

Otherwise, all you get is a grace period of 2 paychecks to prove the worth of employment. I'm telling you this truth with a verifiable employment history of more than 8 years in USA.
My friend, all that matters is how much revenue one can generate. Just doesn't matter whether you are working for Big5 or small and tiny consulting companies.

I am confused about CSPA

I applied to my passport renewal in Jan 09 got back the renewed passport in march 2009.
I checked the passport and on my new passport the old passport number was wrong.
I went personally there and they put a observation in my passport as (the old passport number should be read as xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx).
The observation is hand written and has no signature or stamp on it. I talked to the lady there and she said this is fine and lawful.
Can any one shed any light, if that can be a problem to me while travelling??
BTW - old passport was mentioned wrong becuase I did a typing error while filling online application. When I went there they corrected the ew passport and gave me within 1 hour. So in that way they were helpful.

McCain or Kennedy hasn't yet proven themselves to be champions of skilled-labor legal immigration. In fact Kennedy has been a critic of H1B visas from its inception. Read up on H1B history to get an idea. So I would not put too much hope on senators until they champion or sponsor our cause.

From recent statements from Mr. Bush and Mr. Frist, I am assuming we can say "CIR is officially dead".
Does that make pushing for SKIL "easier"? (I know there is a tight schedule before the election etc., but worth trying?.... I guess we will hear more about this from IV admins on Sunday's conf. call).

At last, our priority dates are current.
Now, we have to go and submit Medical Examination Results.
My Wife is pregnant and I was told by my friends that it is not a good idea to get her immunized (vaccines) now. She might probably have taken most of them back in INDIA.
Is there a way we can apply for I-485 and get EID's without her immunization record? (I will have mine). I am sure there are others who are in the same boat.
Please advice.
They do immunization after determining your antibodies. No immunization required if you have adequate level of antibodies.
For Pregnant woman, Doctors will not do it even if you want to. I guess you are okay. Dr. will mention that in your med form

1. Applied for passport renwal at CGI Houston and USPS tracking tells me it was delivered on Jan7th 2009. It was about to expire on Jan24th 2009.
2. I waited for almost this long and called them this week, they said they dont have it in the system and not even in the return sender list.
3. USPS says they delivered. All i had is just delivery confirmation, shud have had a signature or certified mail or rather used Fedex.
Not going back to USPS ever again, needless to say it was painful to get CGI Houston on the phone only to hear that they cant find my passport application....
Could someone please help with ideas !
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sent my PP for renewal few weeks back and I got it back in 2 weeks.
For me it looked like SFO is pretty good.
I applied for my renewal in SFO and got it back in 2 weeks. I also applied for my daugther's PIO card around the same time. Got it back in 3 weeks. SFO seems to be the best

Many are porting to EB2 from EB3, Hope that clears some traffic @EB3. I hope USCIS will equally distribute the spill over in year or two with help of IV and lawfirms.
Its in 10s. Not even in 100s. And sadly, the DAMN drunk USCIS not taking this into consideration while setting a cut off dates for EB3 I. Either Visas get wasted or spilled over to other categories that are already in good shape, for ex EB 2 (Not specifically India).
