As per my understanding, Lawyer or employer can not withdraw I485. I may be wrong, I 485 can be only withdrawn by applicant.

Even I e-filed my AP 2 days ago (this is my first time not renewal thou). I wanted to know if I need to send 2 photographs and explanation on separate piece of paper.
Well, I also did a small mistake on the appl. I misplaced my first name and last name, I don't think this would be a problem thou...
Can somebody help me with this?
There is a question on part 7 of AP efiling. I guess, same question is also there in paper form as well. Could somebody please explain as to what to do about this. Here is the question:-
On a separate piece of paper, please explain how you would qualify for an Advance Parole and what circumstances warrant issuance of Advance Parole. Include copies of any documents you wish considered. (See instructions.)

I too thought that it could be a hoax call. But When I discussed with my employer and came to know the name of the person who called me is same as that of person who visited our employer 2 months back, then I realized that it is not a hoax call.
But I really don't understand what was the purpose and why I got such call and why he did not show up. Till now there is no communication from the officer.

What is EVL, is it experience letter.
No It's Employment Verification Letter which is supposed to be issued by your current employer stating that you are still their employee, earning this much at this title bla bla. Experience letter is something which shows your experience, the number of year worked in the company. Moreover, experience letter (EXPL) is needed for the old companies.
As far as I know, in I-485 you need just EVL and not EXPL.

Believe it or not, I was about to open a thread like this. And here is the worst part, my AP has been approved 10 days ago, and so far neither the online status changed to approved nor i have received the approval copy. 2 ways I found out my AP was approved was through my local congressman and I took an infopass appointment. In the info pass appointment when I asked what is causing the delay in sending an approved AP, the officer says, if you did not get the approval notice in 45 days, call us back. This after waiting for more than 90days from the date of application. So, its not there until you have it in hand. Merely getting an approval these days is not enough, since they take anywhere upto 45 days to send the approval to you.

well you guys are the kings of jumping ahead of the line using labor substitution...how can any of us be knowledgable on the subject...contact unitednations or ppl like him who "help" the skirters of the law.

Well said yabadaba , the fact is that Desi Consulting companies have used labour sub as a carot for so long , some to the extent of selling it.And there were people who were always interested too.Many of them were not confident of clearing labour on their own credentials ( BSC Zoology, BBA, BCOM etc..) or probably wanted to jump the line.
A mistake on USCIS part too , why they allowed this malpractice for so long , even now when they have stopped it , quite a damage is already done.

THE BEST LAWYER STORY SO FAR
One afternoon a lawyer was riding in his limousine
when he saw two men along the roadside eating grass.
