I second your opinion. I went to Kinkos for quality of photos. I dont have maline thought for other places wherever people had visited or thought to visiting in future. I had taken photos in 2002 from Kinkos and they were using Polaroid camera those days. I sent those photos for H1B Visa stamping at State Department in DC. It worked that time and I liked Sears as well for their quality work. By the way I took lots of photos in 2004 from Sears for Marriage proposals. Yeah I got marry last year because I sent Good quality photo to my in-law family. You see you get what you pay for..Guys as "LogicLife" says you get priceless GC while you dont want to pay couple of extra bucks....Poor you...

tell them you need photo for immigration documentation purpose , they are aware of USCIS requirement.
so if u care about quality go to SEARS ,if u don't care about quality go to CVS

- How has greencard changed your life after receiving it?
A cautious sense of freedom. Suddenly a lot more opportunities opened up and more employers started to show interest. My Desi employer is suddenly on the receiving end and I dictate the terms. Yes, Still workiing with them after 6 months, but that was my own decision to stick with them. Leaving them next month for a 50% raise in salary :)
- What did you do on the day you received it?
I got up at 7:00 that morning of Dec 3rd, (starting dec 3rd my date was not current anymore) , still half asleep, checked my email and got the shock of my life --"Welcome notice sent..." checked it multiple times then woke up my wife and almost dragged her to the computer and made her read the emails with half closed eyes... Our town recieved record rainfall that day and all streets got flooded, so no work :) Went to a Thai place for dinner that night with another family who are very close friend of ours.
-How did the long wait upset your life?
The feeling of uncertanity was terrible. Had to deal with the employer on a daily basis. They sat on my paperwork for 6 weeks, made me sign a million agreements and still did not file my case in June even though my date was current. I was devastated on the morning of July 2nd and rest is very well known to everyone here.
-How did immigrationvoice help you during this long wait?
What can I say? IV took me from what I mentioned in my last point to where I am right now - Waiting for my paycheck with 50% more and above that without any doubts about it coming :)
- Would you like to continue your support to immigration voice and help others waiting?
YES - Or I wouldn' be here 6 months after gettting my GC. Sent another contribution of $50 today.(Paypal Transaction ID #23M509897Y2455252)
- Any advice for everyone?
Have faith in yourself and God. and remember whatever happens , happens for the best.. Even We agree that the GC came at the right time for us. What do you do if while traveling abroad, your GC is lost/stolen? Would the CBP officer at the airport allow you back in on the basis of a photocopy?

The point to be noted is that EB3 India was not commented upon i.e. EB3 Other Workers is different from EB3 India or EB3 ROW. I don't want to commit the deadly sin of predicting but there is hope that EB3 India might move albeit slowly :p

Today I was talking to IO in Texas service center, during discussion I told her that India dates might retrogress.. can you please expedite my case. For that she replied that " that's what they are doing"

Factors you forgot to consider:
1. EB1 and EB2 applicants this July and Aug. ate up the numbers that were made available to EB3 last June 2007.
2. EB3 Visa number is just very few, around 800 per month per PICM country.

Can you explain why EB2 ROW is flowing to EB3 and not to EB2 India?
Since May 2005
EB2 India has moved by 1 week.
so its ONE week in 9 months!
no matter what excuse they have, this is just pathetic.

we can argue both ways, democratic party was not rejected because of the economic mess, even today lot of voters are angry at bush for the mess, the issue here is WH is completely out of touch with the main street, why spend 2 years on health care when ppl dont have jobs to afford basic necessities, the less we talk about stimulus the better, ppl dont like someone who don't listen and arrogantly say what ever they do is for the good without showing any progress (hmmm, reminds me of bush but hell dint we vote for change?) or say voters are ignorant,
bush is not the whole problem, democrats are in the majority since 2006 and look at the deficits since then, wars costed US trillion dollars which is less than annual deficits under the current president, i agree he does not own the deficit problem completely but he dint help to fix it either, bush dint sign "glass-seagall" act which caused the whole mess in the first place, clinton was the one who pushed the initiative "housing to minorities" and his administration wanted to push it through freddie and fannie and the rest is history,
point is demonizing one of the parties is not going to help, both contributed to the mess and neither of them has bigger share

On a second note, it is easy to sit in any position and criticize the president (this applies to bush too) however, what this president is doing is far better in the long run for this country (if we decide to stay) than any other potential candidates.....
Also saw your wish of Obama loosing in 2012 - assuming he ran and his opponent will either be Sarah Palin or Newt Gingrich - just thinking of it gives me shivers! chills! cold! cough! and high fever! (if not more) I urge you to think twice before you wish for something.
This is all politics....lets forget that....everyone in this forum are in the same boat and the fact is for our issues we need both houses of congress and parties to support - so lets work on it.

i agree...you bet i would accept substituted labor, heck i would even bid for one if it it was legal to do so. to each his own, i would do anything to get out of the hell hole legally...talk to your lawyer and go for it, it will save you a lots of time and headache. Make sure its all legal and the documentation is in order. there is nothing to hush up, thousands have done this and are doing it. People like me will feel bad and jump up and down, simply because we did not get that chance to do the same..good luck.

The DREAM act is specific in that it only applies if you can prove you came here and still remain in ILLegal status. I have a son who aged out a year and a half ago. I CANNOT support an act that gives an illegal child of the same age a path to green card that does not provide at least the same for him. If we can get the act amended to include all children who do not have a path to residency and ultimately citizenship that would be OK.

You did not read it carefully. The person actually NOTIFIED the USCIS about AC21. However, USCIS failed to record it.
"xxxx....The particular case has been issued a NOIR on the basis that the employer revoked the I-140 petition and there was no information on record indicating a qualifying position under AC21. In fact, in this case, the documentation pertaining to the new, qualifying position and portability eligibility under AC21 had been timely filed with the USCIS. ...xxxx"
Furthermore:
"xxxx....It is not clear why this AC21 filing was either overlooked or not in the file at the time of the issuance of the NOIR several months later. The fact that the AC21 notification was filed, however, provides a basis to respond to and refute the NOIR, along with a number of legal and procedural issues.
