3) Audit Reply Date - Jan 15th, 08

i am working directly to the client, it's very big company and my immigration people told me it's randomly pickup one no need to worry.
i asked them is there any time frame and they mentioned no set of time frame for audit cases
Hi! is this true? they are approving cases randomly? what happen to FIFO?
I guess one has to pray for luck ! Is there no reason to worry? What if your case has been denied after 13 months of waiting , that's really bad luck.
Thanks for the info. by the way.

The following article is about children. I don't know if it covers aging out.
Blog your comments. Also, ask the reporter to cover your cases!

Randy,
Murthy's post sounds somewhat convincing because they heard it from Openheimer. On the other hand Gotcher whom I really respect was very confident in his forum that this category will keep on moving till July. So I have hope that we will see it move few months at least !!! I am keeping my fingers crossed.
BTW Randy, are you SeanD from the Gotcher forum?
My PD is Aug 2005
Just a month behind :(

Please check my signature...I am stuck in Atlanta. For more than few months, Atlanta has not been touching the Audit cases at all. Just makes me angry:mad:
This is my first time here. I want very much to get the Audit issue resolved (if we could)

( I recently had a conversation with a friend of mine, who was more than happy to go to Las Vegas very frequently and lose 100$ than contributing time or money to IV.)
I was running some numbers...
There are close to 400,000 pending applicants.
Out of 400000, maybe 300,000 are from seriously backlogged regions? (India, China etc..)
Out of 300000, maybe 150,000 are from India.
Out of 150000, maybe 80,000 are primary applicants (Not counting dependents).
Out of 80,000, maybe 30,000 are waiting endlessly with no hope around the corner...
(I don't have the below exact numbers..but)
Out of 30,000, we have hardly 50 members attending the DC advocacy event?
If these 30,000 members, on an average had contributed 10$ ( 3 gallons of gas or Half the weekend pizza/family outing bill), wouldn't we have reached 300,000 $?
Now comparing these numbers with recent demonstrations around the country in support of DREAM Act, I would say there is a difference of Apple and Orange. Remember, there were students who were undocumented/out of status, risking deportation participated and contributed for the DREAM Act. Having said that, may be we need to pushed to the limits before we ALL take some action.
Given this lazy attitude of IV audience, I really commend the efforts of Anu and other IV core team for their efforts. If I were in their position, I would have given up long time back.

Dont worry about anyone being curt. They are all nice people.
If you call NOW you will get to VM and it is simple, quick and effective. Please do it. You dont have to worry about being 'cut off' or a 'curt response' if you are 'speaking' to a VM box. Right? So, whats the hold up? Go ahead and call all numbers.
Thanks!

Called all of them, only Representative Ciro Rodriguez office told they will not support the bill.... others told they will pass the message...
Then I guess IV reps should have one on one with this senator.
Also I recommend all of us calling and requesting/convincing this senator!

Going by the discussions over there (http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2007/6/18/22435/0365), my gut feeling is all PERM cases will be reviewed, in one form or other.

Dude...If you worry about everything that you see on youtube...I feel sorry for you.
It should come as no surprise that there is an anti-H1/EB visa lobby, primarily led by programmers guild. These are basically nit wits who think just because they know where the F1 key is they can be programmers. They also believe that its their god given right to have a 100K job. When they see their world view decapitate in the new economy, they get restless and climb on top of buildings and start shouting. It has happened in the 80's against the Japanese, and it’s happening again against Indians & Chinese.
If history is any guide, US is better off now than it was in 80's and I strongly believe US will be better/richer in the next 20 years as well.

I just called all the offices mentioned.
Almost all of them seemed to know what I'm talking about and couple of the offices actually said they have been receiving numerous calls asking the congressman/congresswoman to support these bills and some of them knew the bill number even before i could mention them...so looks like we are getting our point across loud and clear....

Hi All,
MY LC (PD May 2003) is still stuck in DBEC. So I may or may not be able to file withing Aug17th.
My question is regarding the procedure used by USCIS to process AOS applications. It would be great if someone could explain this to me.
These are my questions:
1. Is the AOS application processed by RD or PD?
2. Once USCIS starts processing the I485, do they check PD at any stage, or is it just used as the initail "gate " for allowing I485 application submission?
3. Suppose Tom with a PD of July 2006 applied in July 2007. Then Harry's case gets approved by BEC in August 2007 and he applies in October 2007. Who will get the GC first?
Thanks for the help!
Houston:
let me try to answer your question the best I can. Answers in order:
For all purposes: lets assume 2 examples. Person A PD July 2006 and RD of July2, 2007 and Person B PD April 2006 and RD of July 2, 2007.
1. AOS is processed by a "combination" of RD and PD. As per the current Bulletin BOTH A and B can apply. The Service centres are currently processing September 2006 applications. When they reach July 2, 2007 processing dates, both applications will be picked up and then "thoeretically" they should ask for Visa number for A BEFORE asking a visa number for B as A has an earlier PD.
2. Answered in same question 1 above.
3. If Harry's case gets approved in August 2007 by BEC he WILL NOT be able to apply for I-485 as the July Bulleting is valid only for applicants VALID in july. Just beacuse they are accepting till AUg 17, does not mean people whose LC got approved between Aug 1-17 can apply, becuase they were technically NOT eligible to apply in July.
Does that answer your questions. PM me if you want more detail.

I just signed up for $20 per month. I consider my cashflow situation to be not very good right now. Buying a house in SF Bayarea can do that to you. However I think that immigrationvoice is a cause too important to not contribute.
I mention my cashflow situation, so that those who might not be contributing for the same reason may also get inspired to come forward and contribute.
