Thanks for the answers and clarifications. I will do what I can and when I can.
I am surprised that there are 4 lawyers and you have free calls for all needy members. This is what I am talking about. I think it should be made more clear on what are the benefits of memberss and people will contribute before asking. Not every one is a crook and try to get info for free.
Yes you are right, No one asked me, but no one asked you for a response either. Appreciate it though.
If some one request, i am all up for it, if you demand like pappu, you aint gonna get it.
peace out.

Hello,
They may have done the prevailing wage (DOL website has this info) and LCA online. Employer can do their LCA online and get answer/approval within minutes. Once the approval is signed, I-129 can be filed on the same day. My employer did these things when they filed my H1B (I got it 5/6 months later).
Hope that helps,
T.

I am an American, born and raised in the US and I wholly support Team IV. This initiative not only supports IV, but also helps prevent childhood obesity in the US which are two very important issues that we currently face. Being an avid runner, I am always looking for worthy causes to support via running and I am excited to be a part of this Team.

Yes after Logiclife gave an update I was not anymore excited about it and did not want to loose sleep over it. Thats because I trust IV. But its always good to clear the facts. Anyways, we should keep working for our goal and hope for some improvement in retrogression.
Just kidding with you ..... Jaane de
We all trust them... What I meant was if IV core said then why we increase our anxiety. I have seen many a times that the office people do not know what is going on. They are like the biased media, and utter only those words that they have been given.
Who voted, where attached... current status is far from there reach

Best thing to resolve this is just to have one approval center.

Just wondering why we are not seeing anything for Mar/04 or earlier. My friend is dec-03. Would be interesting if we could figure what order they follow.

This would still eliminate many of the children who have already aged out. Their dilemma was due to labor backlogs. Since labor certification is an integral stage in the employment based green card process the initial priority date should be the point at which their age is frozen. The I130 is the initial step for family based green cards, the labor cert is the initial step for employment based, NOT the I140.
I agree, and why I am fighting for an amendment to the CSPA (or dream act to include age out children) to protect ALL children from aging out, not just any one particular group of children. Even people who marry a USC still have their dependent children aging out

gsc999 - Thanks for all your Help and Encouragement. It is greatly appreciated. This initiative would not have been possible without your help and guidance
Pappu - Thanks for your support and endorsement of this campaign.
Santb, thank you for your kind words.
Help can now come from our members. Show your support. "Run for Fun" and in the process:
- Support IV
- Get fit and stay fit. You can walk, you don't have to run, if you don't want to
- Spread awareness about IV among non-immigrants
- Socialize with other like minded people
- Involve your family. Kids like outdoor activity
- Get away from your computer and smell the air
- Train for full Marathon. Represent your state chapter at next IV Olympics
With so much to gain this should be a no brainer.

That's not correct. There is big difference between h1B annd GC and it is not for 10 years. it is for ever unless you don't fulfill some conditions.
GC is given for a period of 10 years and not for ever.

Pappu, I really lost my interest in this. After waiting for so long, I have come to a state where I find this to be not worth it anymore. I don't want to continue with this uncertainity any longer and my children are growing up and I want to move on in my life. Negotiating a good job offer for a good position. Its not that I am going to get my GC in 6 months or let alone in 2 years with a total of more than 8000 people ahead of me. So, I am looking at a minimum of 2 years wait and I do not think its worth waiting any longer. Getting a GC in 3-5 years seems tobe a OK wait, but more than 7 years, I want to use my time in something else more precious. Did not mean to hijack the purpose of this thread, just wrote it because you asked that question.
Sad to see how GC affects people's lives.
You are one of the first few IV members to join when it was formed. You were member number 351 to be precise. Did you ever try EB2 porting? Let us know if you would be interested in any media interview. We get lot of requests from media asking for people who are returning back to their home country after being frustrated from the long GC wait. Good luck and best wishes.

Hi
I am the Susan from www.expatsvoice.org and just so you know my husband passed away last year
He was the petitioner for my son who was to follow to join. We only heard son had aged out in Oct 2005 and was getting a court case ready in early 2006.
Sadly my husband became unwell in March 06, diagnosed terminal on 4th May and died 13th May 2006
Someone posted, there maybe only a few cases but the cost is huge from an emotional standpoint
If I win my court case this may result in others having benefit who were previously denied lets hope so and stand together on this.
The grief and deprression I have suffered is unbearable due to errors, delays and husbands death
The memo in cspa clearly says that the CSPA should be interpred expansively, to me that means common sense and compassion.
Until we get an amendment to CSPA I feel there will be so many more cases of hardship and termoil to come to notice

Thanks for making me look like an idiot in front of my lawyer and HR, everyone.
Based on RUMORs that "USCIS may get allergic reaction to too many 485 files, and stop accepting them in mid-July" I asked my lawyer this question:
I have a question about July Visa bulletin. If the August bulletin is retrogressed when announced in mid-July, can the USCIS change rules and stop accepting new Adjustment of status petitions in mid-July ? I know that it sounds illogical and that July bulletin's current dates would apply thru July 31st but I am hearing from my professional colleagues that USCIS could change rules and stop accepting new AOS petitions in middle of the month.
And I got this reply :
Yes, what you raise is quite illogical. The visa bulletin controls which AOS can be filed during the calendar month for which it is published, there is no way for USCIS to stop receiving an AOS application received say on July 16th. AOS is not like an H1B filing, where there is a finite # that must be received by a date certain and then allocated.
See, hear that ? "NO WAY FOR USCIS". Now, I dont know why some lawyers are spreading this nonsense that "BEWARE, USCIS will stop accepting new petitions if they receive 'too many petitions'. What is 'too many ??? Who defines 'too many'? Is 'too many' defined as the time when the mail room clerk gets back pain from lifting boxes of petitions ? Or the guy printing 485 receipt notices gets carpel tunnel syndrome ?
PLEASE PUT THIS IDEA TO REST. USCIS WILL ACCEPT PETITIONS THRU JULY 31, NO MATTER HOW TIRED THEY ARE AND NO MATTER HOW SICK THEY GET OF SEEING 485 FEDEXes COMING IN DAY AFTER DAY AFTER DAY. GOT IT ????

I opened the SR yesterday. I still have 40 or so days but the Rep said they take atleast 10 days to decide and if you want to open that should be fine.
I hope this helps.
I talked to SR and he said that unless I have crossed 90 days , he can not open SR for 765 application. How did you convince him to open the SR for you ?
